Keep the Music Live.

GGIA brings the world’s music to the Bay Area and the Bay Area’s artists to the world. Every concert we present, every workshop we host, and every visiting maestro we bring from abroad is made possible by people who believe that live music and dance from around the world belong on our stages.

We are a lean organization run by working musicians, so nearly every dollar goes to the art itself.

We are fiscally sponsored by InterMusic SF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions are tax-deductible.

Community Events
Live music, open rehearsals where musicians, dancers, and audiences meet; free or low-cost performances in parks and community spaces; outreach to bring new audiences to live music.

Touring
Travel and production costs to bring our artists and ensembles to audiences in other cities and abroad.

Keeping the Lights On
Insurance, licensing, website, and the small administrative costs of running three programs.

Direct Your Gift.

You may direct your gift to any of our three programs, or let us apply it where the need is greatest.

 Golden Gate International Artists
Presenting and producing international artists in the Bay Area. Your support brings renowned and emerging musicians from around the world to local audiences and helps carry our own artists to stages abroad.

 San Francisco Tango Academy
Education and training in tango music and dance. Your support funds intensive workshops with visiting maestros, ongoing instruction for musicians and dancers, scholarships for students, and the community events that keep the tradition alive.

 San Francisco Tango Orchestra
The Bay Area’s dedicated tango orchestra. Your support pays our musicians, brings guest artists to perform with the ensemble, commissions new works and arrangements, and makes our concert season possible.
