The Art of the Walk
Flor Argento in San Francisco & Bay Area tour, November 12 to 26, 2026.
Her first visit to the United States, straight from her 29th European tour. "If you can walk better, you can dance better."
Bio: Veteran Teacher. Filmmaker. Producer. Historian.
Flor Argento learned tango as a teen from the milongueros of the Golden Age, among them Carlos Gavito, and she has spent years carrying that tradition across Europe. This November, on her 29th European tour and her first visit to the United States, she brings it to San Francisco.
She is also a historian trained at the University of Buenos Aires, with a thesis on the history of tango dance, and the curator and director of Última Tanda, a documentary recognized by the Buenos Aires City Legislature as a project of cultural interest and an official selection of the Tango BA Festival 2025. She is a member of the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO.
For Flor, the fundamental matter is most important. She teaches the proper walk and its different styles, in the manner of the maestros, along with the real techniques and fundamentals of the milongueros. Everything else grows from the walk.
This month, she is also teaching at Genesis 11/13, El V 11/17, and Tea and Tango Milonga 11/19, 20 & 11/21.
